Review by hotel critic
During our recent family trip to the Isle of Skye, we had the pleasure of staying at Rose Cottage in Portree. the location was ideal for exploring the island, with the convenience of being close to the shopping area and the port. The cottage itself was spacious and comfortable, with a homely atmosphere that made us feel welcome. the beds were cozy and the bathroom was large and immaculately clean. One of the highlights for our kids was the wide range of TV channels available, keeping them entertained during our downtime. We also appreciated the balcony outside, where we could enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. the quality of the kitchenware was impressive, making cooking a breeze. It felt as though we were staying in a place that had been lovingly looked after, adding to the overall charm of the cottage. One of the most convenient amenities was the washer and dryer, which proved to be a lifesaver when our luggage was lost by the airline. Being able to wash our clothes each night ensured that we had fresh outfits for the next day's adventures. Gerry, the host, was extremely helpful and friendly, providing us with a detailed binder full of useful information about the cottage and local attractions. Overall, our experience at Rose Cottage was fantastic, and we hope to return one day. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and family-friendly accommodation on the Isle of Skye. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn't have asked for a better base for our explorations of this beautiful island.
